Chief

On December 2, 2016 we said good-bye to one of the most loyal and loving horses anyone at Giddy-Up had the pleasure of knowing. Chief was a 25 year-old paint gelding known for being a therapy horse extraordinaire. We loved every minute of working with him and were proud to offer him a happy home in his retirement years.

During his time working with Giddy-Up riders he was reliable, patient and steady. He worked well with beginning clients, but his sensitive and attentive nature allowed him to do well with independent riders riding without a horse leader.

Chiefy was a very good eater and morning volunteers knew to watch out for his "mash mouth" before he dribbled breakfast on their sleeve!
